We quipped that it resembled the Kabul to Khandahar Highway. Now a second councillor, Cllr Keith Linnecor, has pointed out on his blog that the carriage way  looks like it has been bombed. Perhaps the lane is the site of a minor skirmish in the long running civil war with neighbouring Solihull MBC. Are military aircraft strafing the road to keep their less desirable neighbours out? I think we should be told!
