Crouching Councillor, Hidden Agenda (Many thanks Hugh_D)
Our story begins many years ago in ancient China during the time of the Glum Dynasty. In the remote south west province of “Twer Ton” Cllr Tim Ball, a brave warrior fighting for justice, took on the power of the local Warlord elected municipal authority and demanded that the holes in the road be fixed forthwith.
Throught the land revolt spread and others joined the uprising. Below we see Cllr Phil Rackley in the lawless eastern province of “Lain Don” (near Basil Don) visibly close to bursting with indignation at the trip hazards in this Essex shopping centre.
Like the lovers on the classic Willow Pattern plate the last few potential customers are seen in the distance fleeing the atrocious underfoot conditions.
In both cases above …. and so many, many more … these brave men have stood- up against the overbearing tyranny of a minor short-term, weather-induced road surfacing defect to show their true leadership potential and ask the people to follow them on to greater glory … in the forthcoming council elections.
