On first looking into Cllr Chapman’s Homepage

Much have I travell’d in the realms of municipal politics
And many goodly wards and boroughs seen
Round many local papers have I been…

Oft of one wide expanse had I been told
That deep shiny browed councillor ruled as his demense:
Yet never did I breathe its pure serene
Till I heard Cllr Chapman speak out loud and bold (and glum):
about the state of the litter, vandalism and drunkenness in the Great North Road and Mill Hill area.

Then I felt like some watcher of the blogs
when a new glum councillor swims into his ken.
