Cllrs Dignity: “Grab it, bag it and bin it” Recent posts have berated the negativity of po-faced local Cllrs but I don’t want to ”give a dog a bad name” … so lets look at councillors celebrating a positive local initiative. Councillor Pat Jones, Mayor John Rees and Councillor Stephen James were brought together to promote Carmarthenshire County Council’s free “poop bags” as part of the  ”Grab it, bag it and bin it” campaign against dog fouling. Full, and unnecessarily detailed, instructions on how to clear up after your pet are included on the council’s website. It would have been fun to be a “fly-on-the-wall” at the planning meeting for this scatty photo opportunity. Did nobody kick up a stink? … Did nobody mention dignity? … Why didn’t anyone poo-poo the idea?
